Lisa Trager

Senior Content and Digital Strategist
With over fifteen years’ experience in digital, I have held leadership roles as a Content Strategist for clients in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, financial, consumer goods, and government sectors. My approach includes a practical process for assessing and leveraging brand assets, defining the value proposition, and integrating the latest technology, and online trends in order to make sound recommendations for the future state. At the root of my work is the ability to empathize and understand not only the needs of the user, but how to balance these objectives with business requirements. I integrate qualitative and quantitative analysis to support recommendations and use empirical evidence from analytics, keyword research, as well as market research, and when possible user research to develop recommendations the future state. My experience includes working on both the agency and the client side. I’ve been freelancing for the last year, prior to which I led the Content Strategy team at Publicis N.A., which worked on accounts for Abbott Nutrition, Proctor & Gamble, AXA, Merck, Citibank, and more. I graduated from The New School with a Master of Arts in Media Studies and earned a Bachelor of Arts from New York University. My story telling experience includes being acknowledged by the National Endowment for the Humanities by earning a scripting grant for a documentary film about the artists, thinkers, and writers known as the bohemians, who lived in Greenwich Village just after the turn of the 20th century and influenced the arts, culture and labor laws. An evangelist for content strategy, I am also a founding member of the CS-NYC group and often give presentations on the topic of content strategy. In May 2014, I presented, Stop the Insanity!
